Johan Bae

We welcome anyone from every nation, language, tribe, and ethnic group to be a part of this wonderful community to be the “lightkeepers” of “the light”.
Pastor Johan has served the LightHouse Ministry (formerly known as KAPCC English Ministry) since July 2015. He lived in South Africa in his early childhood and mostly spent his life in South Korea. After serving the Korean Army, he served as a pastor for English worship service at Namchun Presbyterian Church in Busan, South Korea (2007-2009). He has a Bachelor’s in Theology from Kosin University in Busan, South Korea (2009). He came to the States in 2009 and earned the Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS (2013). He has the Masters of Theology from Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI(2015). He is married to Juhee Park.

Our Goals
We believe that all followers of Christ are called to love God and their neighbors (Matt.22:36-40). Thus our focus is to love God and our neighbors, specifically the love that is generated by God who himself is love.
Love God and Neighbor
This love is not a vague concept or a thing that we naturally say in daily conversation. It is specifically talking about the love that is generated by God who himself is love.
Know and Understand God
Thus, in order to love God and love our neighbors, we first need to know and understand who God is by studying the Word of God (the Bible). Then, only can we love our neighbors as God loves us.
Serve & Fulfill Great Commission
We are carrying on the Great Commission that our Lord Jesus Christ commanded(Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8) with the love of God. We are looking for ways to serve the local communities with the love of God.
