Johan Bae

Pastor

Pastor Johan has served the LightHouse Ministry (formerly known as KAPCC English Ministry) since July, 2015.

He lived in South Africa in his early childhood and mostly spent his life in South Korea. After serving the Korean Army, he served as a pastor for English worship service at Namchun Presbyterian Church in Busan, South Korea (2007-2009). He has a Bachelor’s in Theology from Kosin University in Busan, South Korea (2009). He came to the States in 2009 and earned the Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS (2013). He has the Masters of Theology from Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI(2015). He is married to Juhee Park.

Jimmy Lee

Elder

Elder Jimmy Lee has been a pioneer of the LightHouse ministry. He lives with his wife and three children in greater Cleveland, who are all active in contributing to the ministry.

Elder Lee continues serving as a pillar of the ministry and casting vision for how LHM can meet the needs of the church. He also has a background in youth ministry.

Who We Are

1. LightHouse Ministry(LHM) is a church community where we strive for learning and applying the truth from the Word of God which is “the light” of this world that brings life and shines in the darkness (John 1:1-5).

2. We welcome anyone from every nation, language, tribe, and ethnic group to be a part of this wonderful community to be the “lightkeepers” of “the light”.

What We believe

ABOUT GOD

1. We believe in God the Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. One in essence and Three in person from eternity.

A. The Father, the creator and the sustainer of the universe.

B. The Son, Jesus Christ, who is fully divine and fully human, sacrificed himself on the cross as once for all atonement, died and resurrected. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life through which we can come to the Father God.

C. The Holy Spirit, the wonderful counselor, who guides those who will believe in faith, and resides in all believers.

ABOUT HUMANITY

1. We believe that all humanity was created in God’s own Image and therefore good.

2. But because of the first fall, sin entered the world and all were under the bondage of sin which resulted in the separation from the Holy God’s presence and to receive His wrath and punishment on our sins.

3. However, because of the work of Jesus Christ, God made us the way to be reconciled with Him.

ABOUT THE BIBLE

1. We believe the Bible is the true and inerrant Word of God written by the human authors inspired by the Holy Spirit.

2. It has the absolute authority for all Christian life and faith.

3. It is sufficient to know God’s will for salvation—together with prayer, it is the means of God’s grace.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSAL AND LOCAL CHURCH

1. Universal church, or Catholic church, meaning, geographically and ethnically worldwide and transcends all time. It includes the whole Christian church from past, present, and future where all believers of Christ will gather at the day when Jesus returns, thus it can include the heavenly assembly.

2. The local church, meaning, the church that serves as the body of Christ locally, such as LHM.

3. Either Universal or Local, the head of the church is one, Jesus Christ.
